Terms of Use

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required by local law) to use Motiva.

Motiva is a daily motivation and wellbeing app: you log a mood, receive a quote, generate a small focus task, and can reflect and build a streak. Some content — including focus-task suggestions — is generated by AI.

You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Focus tasks and similar suggestions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not right for you. Use your own judgment; they are suggestions, not instructions or professional advice.

• Motiva offers a free tier and an auto-renewing Motiva Premium subscription (e.g. monthly or annual), which may include a free trial.
• Purchases are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. The exact price, term, and any trial length are shown at the point of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple/Google account settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple/Google under their terms; we generally cannot issue store refunds directly.
• We may change prices or features with notice; changes don’t apply to a term you’ve already paid for.

Your reflections, tasks, and other content are yours. You grant SMK Labs, Inc. a limited license to store and process them solely to operate and provide Motiva to you. We don’t publish or share your reflections.

Don’t use Motiva unlawfully, don’t attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to it, and don’t misuse the service or infringe our or others’ rights.

The Motiva app, brand, design, and content library are owned by or licensed to SMK Labs, Inc. and are protected by law. These Terms don’t grant you rights in them beyond using the app.

Motiva is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted, SMK Labs, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some may not apply to you.

You can stop using Motiva and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of your country of residence.
